Accurate Review of the Carleton (Carlton) Sheets offer
UPDATE: Carleton Sheets passed away on January 25, 2020. Our sympathies to his family and friends.
Carleton Sheets
was the earliest "infomercial guru", going back over 3
decades. Though he has since passed, his company may well continue offering his program. Originally an industrial salesman, Carleton
put his sales experience to work pimping his "No Down Payment" real estate course on late-night TV. Over the last 30+
years the name of the course has changed, with few changes to the actual course. It has
simply become more "modern" and sophisticated, to appeal to today's more sophisticated audience. We will give Carlton Sheets credit for a few things. Though his course is pretty basic, it is
relatively
sound, and covers more than one strategy. However, the materials are not detailed enough for the average "newbie" to
start investing, so Carleton
offers coaching, of course. And the coaching is expensive. You can be out thousands before its over - and in all
likelihood you
still will not become wealthy. While the company that markets the Carlton Sheets course (American Marketing Systems Inc.)
has a "B" rating (up
from an "F") at the Better Business Bureau, they do still get hundreds of complaints, which speaks
volumes. Every company gets unhappy customers, but most legitimate
businesses will resolve issues before they ever get to the BBB. On the other hand, Carleton Sheets'
coaching company (Legacy Learning) has an A+ rating, and that is certainly
worthy of mention. It does not, however, mean that the coaching is effective, nor does it mean Carlton Sheets
is
worth the high cost. The majority of complaints about Carleton Sheets revolve around poor
quality of the coaching. Whereas the Carlton Sheets course, though basic, is based on reasonably sound
principles,
we would not call it a scam - but it comes close. And there is something to be said for
an infomercial guru who has lasted this long without suffering the fate of other hucksters who fell
from grace when the long arm of the law caught up to them for scamming. By learning all 24 different
methods of investing decribed here as taught only by "the Simple Man's Guide to Real
Estate" you will be prepared for any economy and market type. And you would gain access
to a free
mentor with over 20 years actual field experience in real estate investing. For under $150 it is
the course that beats them all, combined. With an "A" rating at the Better Business Bureau, and
offered by a non-profit to keep it affordable,
"The Simple Man's Guide to Real Estate" by investor Bill Vaughn
is the most comprehensive and effective of all the courses available today. Take a look...A Low Cost, More Effective Choice
